Nancy S. Charney
President

Born and raised in the heart of Cleveland, Nancy grew up exploring all this great city has to offer. Immediately after graduating high school, Nancy began working full-time while spending her nights and weekends pursuing a BA in Communications at Baldwin Wallace University.

Having explored several career paths, Nancy began her recruiting career at a large search firm where her hard work and enthusiasm earned her the title “Rookie of the Year.” Wanting to make a difference in how others experienced recruitment services, she founded Charney & Associates in 1994. Through her genuine curiosity about others and strong work ethic, she leveraged her years of experience in the medical field to establish a specialized niche in recruiting. Her search firm treats candidates, clients, and employees in alignment with her core values of integrity, compassion, and commitment.

Nancy is known not only as one of the top recruiters in the profession, but she also has a reputation for being quite the woman about town. An energetic and lively communicator, she always welcomes new experiences, travels, and the thrill of discovering unfamiliar places. Basically, she is up for anything!

A Cleveland girl at heart, Nancy continues to give back to the community in many ways. Over the years she’s donated to and spent time with various organizations in the greater Cleveland area including The Cleveland Orchestra, Berea Children’s Home, and Malachi House. She served on the Board of Saint Joseph Academy High School, her alma mater, and as Board Chair of Santa Chiara Children’s Center, a grassroots non-profit organization. She also contributed critical funds to the Berea Animal Rescue Fund’s Capital Campaign and continues monthly giving in honor of the clients and candidates she serves. Nancy was elected to the Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital’s Board of Trustees in 2023 and is passionate about the organization’s commitment to serving the community.

Navigating through an unconventional career path exposed Nancy to unique experiences that have helped enhance her skills as a professional recruiter (and earned her the title of honorary psychologist). Today, she successfully leverages her extensive industry knowledge and innate ability to form connections with others to transform careers and accelerate business success.
